A Little Bit About Me

HI, I'M JULIA

I'm a passionate baker and cake artist. My love for baking began when I was three, helping my mom make pastries for church. Those early memories made it clear that baking was something truly special to me.

Growing up, my sister and I dreamed of opening a café together, but my parents hoped I’d follow a more traditional career path. Over time, they saw how serious I was and came to support my journey.

Eventually, I made the decision to leave university and pursue culinary school. While the program did not include courses on cakes or cake decorating, I immersed myself in savoury cooking, culinary science, and professional kitchen skills. That foundation gave me a deeper understanding of flavour, texture, and food chemistry, which I now bring into every cake I create.

While my culinary training focused on cooking, I taught myself the art of cake decorating. I love exploring new ideas and pushing my skills further. I have found my niche in anime-inspired cakes and buttercream florals, but I am always excited to take on fresh creative challenges.

What started as a creative outlet, CakeJuliaCake has grown into something I am incredibly proud of. I am so grateful for the support of my friends, family, and the amazing cake community that continues to inspire me every day.
